Life is finally back to normal! Concerts and big acts are returning and heading to South Africa in 2023! And to ensure that you’re up to date with the latest announcements and concert news in Joburg, we have compile a list of the country’s upcoming concerts. There’s so much to look forward to this year!

UB40 ft Ali Campbell | SOLD OUT

Date: Saturday, 03 June 2023

UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell will add another chapter to a story that began in Moseley, Birmingham, in 1979, when UB40, taking their name from the form given to individuals claiming unemployment benefit, started putting an indigenous British slant on Jamaican reggae.

After reaching number four in the charts with King / Food For Thought, the multi-racial band released their debut album, Signing Off, in 1980.

They have topped the UK singles chart on three occasions – with Red Red Wine in 1983; I Got You Babe in 1985; and (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You in 1993. Two of those hits – namely Red Red Wine and (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You, went number one in the USA.

Unfortunately, tickets have sold out for their concert in Pretoria.

George Ezra

Chart-topping and multiple award-winning, George Ezra, will be coming to South Africa in July 2023!

After two blockbuster albums – Wanted On Voyage and Staying At Tamara’s, 2022 has seen him return to heart and hearth; releasing his third album. The third UK number 1 Gold Rush Kid, featuring Anyone For You and Green Green Grass. He recently premiered his acclaimed documentary End to End. Chronicling an unforgettable journey by George and two childhood friends across the UK. George is YouTube Music’s Sustainability Partner for 2022, working with The National Trust to plant 20-million trees.

Boyz II Men

G21 Entertainment with Vertex Events has announced the South African show dates for the legendary super group, Boyz II Men, happening later in 2023.

Following discussions with the group’s management, G21 Entertainment frontman, Glen Netshipise stated “We are elated to finally kick off the tour in South Africa later this year. Boyz II Men promised their fans a killer live show shortly before the pandemic, and now keeping true to that promise, now that it’s safe to do so. With three shows planned around the country, we look forward to delivering yet another quality production with this multiple award winning music outfit .

Limited tickets for the seated concert are available at Ticketpro. Previously purchased tickets in 2020/2021 for the cancelled concert will automatically be valid for the new dates. Ticket holders will need to contact Ticketpro to exchange their old tickets.

Westlife The Wild Dreams Tour

Date: Friday, 03 November until Sunday, 05 November 2023

Big Concerts has confirmed that successful Irish boy band, Westlife, is coming to South Africa in November 2023.

The popular band, have sold over 55 million records worldwide and are the only band to have their first seven singles enter the UK chart at No.1.
