Retail chain Naivas has become the first Kenyan supermarket to reach 110 stores, following the opening of its new outlet located in Tatu City, Kiambu County.

This almost doubles its closest competitor, which currently boasts 60 branches across 14 counties.

According to the supermarket chain, the new outlet is positioned to serve the growing community around Tatu City and surrounding areas.

The launch comes at a time when consumers are grappling with economic challenges, but the retailer says it remains focused on its core promise of affordability and value.

“We are excited to bring this new outlet to Tatu City, which we believe will significantly enhance the shopping experience for residents and surrounding communities,” said Naivas Chief of Strategy Andreas Von Paleske. “As the retail landscape continues to evolve, we remain focused on delivering a world-class shopping experience.”

The retailer has emphasized its commitment to providing quality products at competitive prices, aiming to ease the financial burden on shoppers.

Despite the current economic climate, the retailer says it continues to invest in growth, leveraging market research to identify and address gaps in consumer demand.
